Yvonne E. Clarke was educated in England, UK and moved to the United States in 1983. While acquiring her nursing degree from New York State University she went to Revlon International for a temporary position in the beauty industry and has not returned to Nursing. Her last position was as a Regional Account Manager for Groupe Clarins USA a world-renowned cosmetic company and has over 26 years cosmetic experience. As a Clarins Executive, she works closely with corporate buying offices and upper store management in building the Clarins' image. She was also responsible for the hiring and coaching of the Clarins Skincare Specialists, and middle management store personnel who represent the Clarins Company at retail level.

Ms. Clarke is also the primary founder and Executive President of Y-Hope Foundation Inc., a non-profit (501)© (3) organization. Y-Hope was registered in 2002, and is based in Maryland; their primary function is to offer services to women in the Metro DC/VA/MD area who are challenged by life circumstances. Believing in the “True Spirit of Beauty” one of her greatest gifts is using the three components, the powers of color, touch and conversation in an attempt to enhance and lift the spirit of women. Working willing within God's grace, and according to His will, she believes strongly in the power of prayer.

Ms. Clarke has traveled extensively throughout the world to countries such as: Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, France, Italy, Greece, Israel, Mexico and several islands in both the English and French speaking Caribbean such as Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada, Tobago, Bahamas, and Bermuda. She has worked in Europe for several years, and has international and domestic modeling experiences (both runway and print). She has been featured on several television programs (also locally both in DC, VA and MD) and newspaper (Washington Post) and international and domestic trade magazine articles (Beauty Fashion). She has worked with the Miss Black USA Beauty Pageant as a Preliminary Judge, and is one of the interview coaches for the Miss VA, DC and MD Beauty Pageants. She has also worked as a critique coach with contestants for the Miss USA and Miss America Beauty Pageants, and is one of their judges. She is a Board Member for the Miss Metro Caribbean Beauty Pageant.

Extremely poised, self-assured and confident, Ms. Clarke has given presentations to large groups. She confessed “I gain strength and encouragement when I am able to give motivational speeches and conduct well-being seminars”. One of her biggest achievement was being the honored guest speaker at the nationally renowned “Dream Ball” at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NY for the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Associations in order to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, Look Good… Feel Better… Program. She captivated the audience in the cause for this fund-raising effort and she is happy to report that that evening, she, along with the organizations involved, raised over $1.5 million. Guest attendance was over 700 of the industry's top cosmetic, fragrance and retail executives including Chief Executive and Operating Officers, company owners and guests from the entertainment music and film industries. She has volunteers for several other non-profit organizations, such as The American Cancer Society and the Komen National Race for the Cure.

Being an extroverted, extraordinary professional woman, Ms. Clarke has participated in several etiquette training seminars and is delighted when she observed her trained talent and skills being put to use after she had conducted such seminars as “Fine Dining Skills” and other social graces for Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha and other requested debutante workshops. She continues to conduct workshops for many clients in the DC/VA/MD area. She feels, whatever your generation, the opportunity awaits you for a vibrant and dynamic lifestyle where everyone should have the courage to contribute to their society's need, while understanding the required protocol for various and different events.

Ms. Clarke is a member of the Links Incorporated as well as other well-known worldwide organizations, and a member of Faith Outreach Community Church.
