Like the letter "Y" the foundation has three branches, each one equally valuable as they balance out the functions of one another.
"MAKE-OVER FOR HOPE"
"Make-Over for Hope" is a service provided by Y-Hope Foundation which offers make-up therapy to women suffering from the effects of various chronic or long-term illnesses. The goal of "Make-Over for Hope" is to lift the spirits of the patient through the healing components of color and touch. This program is the linchpin of the organization's approach to helping women feel better through "common-touch healing". This service is provided for both groups and individuals. A "Make-Over for Hope" outreach event can be scheduled for hospitals, hospices, service organizations/non-profits, churches, support groups, or any group of women in need of an uplifting experience. An isolated event may be staged or an ongoing relationship may be established.
"Make-Over for Hope" has served and will continue to commit to -- though not limited to-- the following groups of women:
- Cancer
- HIV/AIDS
- Diabetes
- Clinical Depression
- Addiction Recovery
- Heart Disease
- Battered Women
- Lupus
- MS
- Senior Citizens
Referrals may be made to Y-Hope Foundation through your treating physician, mental health supervisor, or religious organization. Word of mouth is welcome.
"Make-Over for Hope" Commitment:
- MOH uses only volunteer make-up artists who have had professional experience.
- Each recipient of MOH will receive special one-to-one personalized consultation.
- No specific make-up line will be promoted or sold.
- Volunteer make-up artists go through a Y-Hope Foundation orientation in order to understand the goals of the foundation and the etiquette of working with women who suffer from a variety of health conditions or otherwise compromised circumstances..
