Mission Statement:
Y-Hope Foundation is aimed at helping women challenged by life-circumstances or the effects of chronic and life-threatening illnesses receive lifted spirits through spa therapy.
In 2002 a group of friends created the Y-Hope Foundation, Inc, a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. The founders are determined to support women's needs by making them feel better about themselves and their futures. The organization provides support that goes beyond the services that are currently being offered by other established organizations.
Who do we serve?
Women diagnosed with, and currently receiving care for, chronic and life-threatening illnesses such as -- but not limited to -- the following:
- Women in Addiction Recovery
- Women living with Cancer
- Women living with Diabetes
- Woman living with Dual Diagnonsis
- Women living with Heart Disease
- Women living with HIV/AIDS
- Women living with Lupus
- Women living with Mental Illness
- Women living with MS
- Women surving battery/rape
- Senior Women
Referrals may be made through your treating physician, mental health supervisor, communiy or religious organization. Word of mouth is welcomed.
Examples of Services provided:
- We provide "Make-Over for Hope", where groups of make-up artists ply their trade to connect with women and lift their spirits through better self image.
- We will accompany women with needs to their medical appointment, by request.
- We will provide a telephone line for prayer request.
- A portion of donations will be rechanelled to a rotating
list of charitable organizations. Each gift and its recipient will be announced in Y-Hope Foundation newsletters and on our website.
